I have been running Microsoft Windows 10 myself now since the first beta that was leaked online, both on my mobile and PC . I find the new operating system awesome there have been several bumpy patches, but all in all you will find the latest operating system the best one released yet and I have been a Windows user and offered Windows technical /Software support since the first days of windows 3.11. and DOS I have even let some clients make the transition and they are loving it (they disliked windows 8) 

It fast and fluid and have I found that it makes older hardware shine again.

On the 1st June 2015: Microsoft announced that Windows 10 will be available beginning July 29 in 190 markets around the world. Customers with PCs and laptops running Windows 7 and Windows 8 will be able to get Windows 10 as a free upgrade. Consumers will have one year from July 29 to take advantage of the free upgrade.

Once a Windows device is upgraded to Windows 10, Microsoft will continue to keep it current for the supported lifetime of the device—at no cost.

Build 10130 is the latest update of the Windows 10 Insider Preview and downloaded version in 10222 is now available for the Fast ring but users with an AMD GPU will find frequent crashed in Microsoft Edge (still called Project Spartan for now). It includes improvements to both Start and Continuum.

It’ll cost you $119 USD for Windows 10 Home and $ USD for Windows 10 Pro. So little over R2500 for us here in Dublin

This pricing comes via CNET and is only applicable to Windows users not eligible for the free upgrade from compatible versions of Windows 7 or Windows 8… or for anyone who doesn’t take advantage of the one-year upgrade window.

So how can you now reserve your free copy of Windows 10?

  • First, you must be running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 or Windows 8.1, and you must have installed a March the Windows update dubbed KB3035583, That update will already be on your PC as long as you have Automated Updates enabled.
  • Peek at your Windows system tray in the lower right corner, and you should see a new icon displaying the Windows logo. Hover over it, and the popup messages says: “Get Windows 10.”
  • Click that icon, and up pops a window that explains how the free upgrade works. Once it’s available, Windows 10 will automatically download onto your PC. You’ll receive a notification after the download is complete so that you can choose an appropriate time to install it.
  • You can scroll through the various screens of the Get Windows 10 window to read more about the new OS.
  • When you’re done, simply click the button to reserve your free upgrade.
  • The reservation screen asks for your email address so you can receive the notification. Enter your email address and click the Send confirmation button. You can now close the Get Windows 10 window.
  • Should you change your mind and wish to cancel the reservation, just click the Get Windows 10 icon again.
  • Click the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner to display the menu and click the link for View confirmation.
  • Then click the link to Cancel reservation and click the button for Cancel reservation to confirm your choice.
